A old release from this coastal Japanese Distillery features malt whisky aged for a minimum of 12yrs - first in American Whiskey casks before they were finished in Japanese Umeshu Liqueur casks for 6 months. The tropical notes typical of the perrennially popular liqueur are a natural compliment to the nature of the malt whisky, however, thankfully they've been tempered by the casks and the result is a lucious whisky that has layers but is not cloying, Limited.
