Faugères "Jour Fruit," Mas Onésime - 2023

Item # 47400 750 mL

This dry red blend of Cinsault and Syrah Noir take its name from the biodynamic day of the month when this wine was drawn off the skins. Fresh, and red fruit-forward, the winery believes this timing enhances that fruit character once bottled. Pair this medium-bodied red with Quiche Lorraine.

Fresh, purple flowers, violets and lilacs showcase this wine's floral aromatics, while a smoky lapsang souchong tea note adds an earthy complexity. Medium plus bodied, incredible freshness and resolved tannins make this an accessible wine on whatever day you drink it. I will be trying it again, but on a fruit day with a herb crusted, roast pork loin.
