An entire book could be written about this single gin. For a brief tasting note like this one, it is hard to find the words, and the irony is that this is the simplest of gins by some measures, the easiest to understand. It is a meditation on juniper, the only ingredient that needs to be in gin and the only ingredient in this one. But by utilizing each integral part of the Juniperus Procera trees from this part of Kenya, where the distillery is located, they are able to achieve, purity, sense of place, and complexity all at once. Young foliage tips, fresh, never-dried berries, toasted heartwood and some dried berries are all employed to deliver a multi-dimensional flavor experience. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe it.
