McConnell's 5yr Irish Whisky

McConnell's truly is one of Ireland's oldest whisky brands, and by extention the world's.The history dates back to at least the mid 18th Century and has gone through several rises and revivals since. The current iteration has been a long time coming and a very welcome addition to the canon of classics in this category. Produced at the Belfast Distillery in Northern Ireland, the whisky is created from a blend of single malt and grain spirits that are aged a minimum of five years in ex-Bourbon barrels. Classic in the best of senses with ease and versatility. Notes include lemon zest, spring honey, coconut cake, fresh baked butter pastry, white tea and gentle notes of pepper.
