Staff Pick Notes

Deliciously complex little bottle of Champagne right here from the dependable Guy Charlemagne house in Mesnil. Classic Côte de Blancs all-Chardonnay goodness delivering notes of bright citrus, lightly toasted country bread, honey, pear, and clementines. The fruit is juicy but not overripe; the acidity refreshing yet not bracing. It's just a well-made sparkler in perfect balance that will make a good night great, especially paired with hors d'oeuvres and a light meal. All of that in a handy half-bottle you can take anywhere. Great for those occasions when you don't need a whole bottle, as you'll have no trouble polishing off this tasty treat.

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
