Nowhere Triple Sec Liqueur by Matchbook Distilling Co.

Item # 43153 750 mL

Perhaps the most exciting thing about this incredibly promising fledgling distillery is their uncompromisingly experimental nature. You are bound to find everything and anything lurking around in their cellars. But that doesn't mean they don't know the staples that put a classic bar or drink together and when they go down those roads, you'll feel like you are somewhere you've been before but something has changed. Welcome to Nowhere. There are layers on citrus built into this typically straightforward liqueur. Essential oils, fresh bright peels, pithy bittersweet flavors and earthy notes of the orchard will contribute more character to your drinks and baked goods than your run of the mill triple.

Staff Pick Notes

Although I am someone who usually sips spirits straight, Matchbook Distilling's array of bespoke spirits and liqueurs could fill up a cocktail connoisseur's dream bar, heck maybe even my own bar. This Triple Sec is an affordable yet excellent expression that will be a change-up from your typical Hiram Walker or DuBouchett. It is ethereal and lithe, full of notes of essential oils, red licorice, sweet laffy taffys, and brandy-like apricots, oranges, and pineapples. It sports a creamy texture while being ever-expressive without over-exerting itself, which would make this a welcome addition to any boutique or classic cocktail program.

No longer is our fair state synonymous with Concord grapes and Manischewitz; look for brilliant iterations of Pinot Noir, Riesling, Cabernet Franc,...
