This tiny independent outfit based in Adberdeen is turning out serious gin of outsized flavor considering its scale. Utilizing unique botanicals and a cold distillation method, and meticulous blending techniques, the gins are big in flavor and texture without being harsh on the palate.
The Modern Dry has a mostly classic recipe that highlights juniper, coriander, angelica, cassia, lemon, cinnamon and more but the additions of Buddha's Hand citrus, Pink Peppercorn and almond takes this otherwise familiar and solid gin into new and exciting territory.
We found notes that reminded us of dried Fireweed, linden blossom tea, preserved lime, lemon verbena and freshly cracked spices.
