Staff Pick Notes

Heaven Hill is the largest, independent, family-owned distillery in the USA, founded after prohibition in ‘35. On the shelf, you’ll see so many they produce; Elijah Craig, Evan Williams, McKenna, Old Fitzgerald…an all-star team of delicious premium bourbons. The origin of this one dates back to ‘39, when, upon release, it became the #1 selling bourbon in Kentucky. Today, we celebrate that heritage with this bottle, made from their traditional mashbill, mingled in small batches, and bottled at 100 proof. This seven-year-old offering of the namesake exceeds the minimum four-year aging for bottled-in-bond, exemplifying the craftsmanship that is the hallmark of Heaven Hill’s tradition. Quintessential notes of caramel, vanilla and aged oak lead us to tobacco, leather, graham cracker, and apple muffin. American Whiskey history in a glass.
