Glenallachie 15yr Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

700 mL
Item # 42105

From one of the undisputed masters of wood maturation in scotch whisky, this 15yr expression reaches heights that not even many other 18yr presitge bottlings from other brand could reach. The whisky is clearly marked with sherry notes, and we'd expect nothing less from Billy Walker, but it walks a razors edge and allows the substantial malty heart of the spirit to continue to shine through. A big, serious dram.

Staff Pick Notes

I had the pleasure of having a glass of the Glenallachie 15 Year recently and found that it provided exactly what I was looking for in a Scotch: rich sherry character and an absence of peat influence on the nose and palate. Notes of dried fruits, fresh fruits, nuts, and cocoa glide over the taste buds with ease. This 15 years old Scotch has been aged in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads and is truly delicious. If you're looking for a more decadent style of Scotch then look no further, you've found the one!

Scotch

As a synonym for Scottish, some people object to the term “Scotch” – but as far as their whisky goes, the Scottish people are required by law to classify the spirit as “Scotch whisky.”

Scotland
