Staff Pick Notes

Raj Parr is an absolute super star in my book. As someone who also works in the restaurant industry, Raj Parr is emblematic of hard work, self-teaching and dedication. His journey started as a food runner and he moved up the ranks to wine director of all of Michael Mina's restaurants. Alas, his journey is not over. Sandhi Winery, founded in 2010 by Parr and winemaker, Sashi Moorman, is dedicated to making wines of finesse, minerality, acidity, structure and balance. A subtle and seamlessly integrated wine, with fine tannins and bright freshness, this isn't your typical California Pinot Noir. Concentrated notes of black and red fruits, rhubarb, black tea with a tinge of nori-like salinity on the finish. This is a wine to drink with a short decant or hold for the years to come. A rock star wine from a rock star producer!

California
