Staff Pick Notes

Zweigelt, the grape used to make this great wine is an hybrid variety created in 1922 by Friedrick Zweigelt. It's widely planted in Austria but you can find it also in Hungary, British Columbia, Canada and New Zealand. Claus Preisinger is a very well know natural wine producer in Austria. He produces his wines in the Burgenland region. He practices biodynamic farming using indigenous yeast, no filtration and almost no sulphur added. He started learning about viticulture and wine making since he was young, helping is father Sipping this wine, you can enjoy aromas of red fruit and flowers such as violets. On the palate cranberries and peppery notes are present. All supported by a pleasant earthiness. I would pair this wine with cold cuts or I would drink it at brunch!
