Stéphane Magnien is fast becoming one of those producers. His Coteaux Bourguignons greatly exceeds the expectations set by this designation of wine. The aroma is light and earthy while still conveying the rich fruit that awaits you on the palate. Taste bold red fruits, tobacco, and spice. The vintage gives it some hearty tannins that provide structure without making the wine overly bitter. M. Magnien makes wines I didn’t know I wanted.
