A lively rosé from the hills of Lugana flanking the southern side of Lake Garda in northern Italy. The soils here are chalk and limestone-laden giving an incredible freshness. The aromas are floral, berried yet finishing with a dry finish.

Bardolino rosé will always have a special place in my heart. Back in the 90rs, I was working at an Italian restaurant in Berkeley. The wine list for this restaurant had only Italian wines, that is right, no Cali wines this close to wine country. So to have a rosé this beautiful and dry when everyone is expecting White Zin is a risk. That restaurant did not survive the dot-com bust of the early 00s, but my love of dry rosé and Bardolino has lasted to this day. Nowadays, dry and crisp rosés dominate the market and this one is a nice example. Bright, fresh, and ch-ch-chugable!
