Anxious to please a group with clashing tastes in sparkling wine? Disenchanted by anonymous prosecco served at gallery openings this season? This is what I would recommend... Technically classified as dry... As a certified detective of sweetness, I find this to be an almost off-dry very pleasant alternative to many other better known bubbles such as Delacroix. This wonder from Paris-Simoneau is extremely approachable and a great entry way into the endless joy fountain that is Chenin Blanc. You'll detect aromas of fresh picked white flowers and quince. I enjoyed the uncomplicated nature of this 100% Chenin. Lots of directness in this bottling, I would happily pop one (translation: two or three) to clink glasses and deliver any old bit of good news you or your crowd may want to share.This one makes you look a bit on the bright side.
