Staff Pick Notes

The land where this vineyard is planted has been dedicated to grape growing for seven generations. The gravel soil is perfect for the production of the Merlot grape. The result is a great everyday wine full of flavor and concentration. It's a full-bodied wine with dark plum and black pepper flavors. It spends some time in French oak barriques and that creates smoothness and balance. Usually Right Bank Bordeaux is expensive. This wine is a great value—it's a valid alternative to more expensive wines from the same region. And while it's not as complex, it's a solid wine to be enjoyed with a variety of food, especially grilled meat.
