Production Methods

Practicing Organic

Wine made from grapes grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides in the vineyard.

Staff Pick Notes

This wine is just yum yum yum. It is everything that is great about Riesling—crisp, clean, mineral-driven with ripe fruit. A winemaker from a long tradition, the vineyard is practicing organic. What is so tantalizing about this wine is it strikes a perfect balance between sweet and dry, which just keeps me coming back for another sip, and another, until the whole bottle is gone. Too crisp to be a sweet wine and too sweet and fruity to be a dry wine, this is where two things are equally true and equally good. The most common request I get from customer is the desire for a dry wine—be it red, white, or rosé—more often than a good or delicious wine. Here is a delicious wine, and we can just throw all other labels out the damn window.

They are careful to retain the delightful honeyed, flinty flavors that the best sweet Rieslings have always displayed. Alsace, of...
