Complex, austere, and masculine, this Barbaresco was intended for the cellar. Those who can't wait will find a perfumed wine redolent of tobacco, licorice, black pepper, and cloves. Primary fruit notes of summer flowers and red berries are still apparent, though supported fully by a rustic acidity and sturdy tannins. Boito is a single parcel of white marly clays cut with calcareous soils. This is a wine of inimitable longevity.
