Staff Pick Notes

Deliciously fresh Pinot Noir from California's Sonoma Coast courtesy of Anthill. The vineyard sites benefit from cool marine air off the Pacific Ocean via the Petaluma Gap, which keeps the grapes from ripening until October and lends the final product refreshing (yet not bracing) levels of acidity. With red cherries, strawberries, black pepper, lithe tannins, and excellent balance, it's also a fantastic food wine. I had this with a turkey burger but now I want to drink it again alongside some veal scallopini. It is medium-bodied, but it's decidedly less bold than many California Pinots, making it a great choice for your next meal.

California
