Hamilton Worthy Park Jamaica Black Rum

Item # 31300 750 mL

Get ready to say, "I've never tasted anything like that." Produced at the historic Worthy Park distillery, which dates to the mid 1600s at least, this black rum is a blend of extra light, light, and heavy pot still rums from the estate, selected and bottled by none other than rum legend Ed Hamilton. The aromas are at once explosive and elusive with treacle, fermented cane juice, allspice, honey, and so much more. This is a must-try experience that will become a staple for anyone's collection. Please note: Some of the recently received bottles were accidentally mislabeled at the distillery as liters, but are in fact, the advertised 750 ML size format.

Staff Pick Notes

Rum - it's for more than just fruity, summertime, or tiki cocktails! Try using Hamilton's Jamaica Black Rum in a cocktail with components including coffee beans, walnut liqueur & Amontillado Sherry for a nutty, warming treat. This rum is made by pot still distillation from black strap molasses, the final byproduct of sugar production. Fun fact - black strap molasses contains more nutrients than sugar or molasses, but of course distillation alters the nutrition. The rich fragrance from Hamilton's Jamaica Black Rum practically jumps out of the bottle, adding complexity & depth to this or any rum based beverage.
