There is perhaps no one that has done more with aged tequila than Enrique Fonseca. Coming from the largest land-owning family of planted agave in the world, he has for years been putting away casks that now number in the thousands. The majority of liquid for this bottling comes from select French wine casks. The color is burnished copper and the nose gives off aromas of cherry pie, lime blossoms, fresh chocolate, and spice box. The palate is elegant, well defined, and full of flavors that include honey, caramel, roasted almonds, hazelnut syrup, baking spice, and new leather.
