Moscato d'Asti "Oroluce," Paolo Pizzorni - 2022

Item # 27563 750 mL

Fruity and floral, this classic Moscato is pleasure in the glass. Pretty spring blossoms, grapes, and apricots dominate the delicate palate, which is balanced with stone-fresh acidity. A delicious complement to desserts like tea cakes and cookies. Try with light, young cheeses as well.

Staff Pick Notes

There is nothing less cool these days than sweet wine, but I implore you to give this one a chance. Sweet wines were once prized by kings from Tokaji, Hungary and Sauternes, France. And Piedmont used to be known for its sweet wines like Brachetto d'Acqui and Moscato d'Asti (now it's known for astringent reds like Barolo and Barbera D'Alba). This Moscato drinks a lot like the best soda you've ever tasted, with stunning white floral notes on the nose giving way to downright mouthwatering stone fruit on the palate. The low alcohol and slight bubbles keep it fresh. Try it!

The red Freisa is vinified in a variety of styles:...
