Item # 25592

Intense herbality, distinctly mineral and dusted with a fine coat of white pepper, this crisp Grüner is polite, bone dry and delights with animated elegance. Staff Pick Notes

If you think Austria wine, think Gruner Veltliner. By far the most planted grape in Austria, it is versatile, food-friendly and overall pleasant to drink. Erdenlied is a reference to a symphony by Gustav Mahler. The well-known producer behind this wine is Weingut Durnberg of Falkenstein. Here you have a one liter bottle -- as opposed to the standard 750 ml -- of dry Austrian wine. The aroma on the nose is refreshing, delicate and citrusy. On the palate, the acidity is crisp with a gentle touch of minerality. It is an elegant and dry Gruner perfect with summer food. Note that the Erdenlied wine label was specially designed for Astor Wines & Spirits. How sweet is this!

Blauer Zweigelt), which yields full-bodied wines, deep in color and featuring bold flavors of...
