"This is our most important wine. This is our business card." Thus spake Isabella, who, with brother Pietro, are the newest generation representing one of the oldest houses in Barolo. There are facts I could list off about their production methods, or the geological makeup of La Morra. And I could use these facts to build a solid case for why you should expect this wine to be impressive. But the fact is, I don't want to make a logical argument. I simply want to tell you that wines this beautiful make me weep, and render all efforts to convey such beauty a fool's errand.
