Nearly 40 years ago Elena Walch married into her husband's centuries old wine estate. Elena was immediately enamored with the landscape and the practice of wine growing. Elena then took over the operations of the estate. She emphasized sustainability and implemented modern equipment and practices to the vineyards and cellars. The product of her work enhanced the reputation of Alto Aldige and Pinot Grigio wines. Her label is now managed by her two daughters Julia and Caroline. This Pinot Grigio is sourced from the 7 vineyard sites that compse the estate. Vineyard elevations vary from 200-900 meters and face south southeast. Soils are mostly calcareous with a smattering of sand. The wine appears straw to golden in color. It has generous flavors of ripe yellow apples, and melons.
