Clynelish 14 Yr. Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

When I first had this beautiful coastal Highlands Scotch whisky it was very much a “where have you been all my life” moment. This bottle manages to be a crowd pleaser while simultaneously giving the aficionado enough complexity to keep them fully engaged. The fact that they put the words “Coastal Highlands” right on the bottle gives you a clue into the salinity and savory notes that you can expect from this malt. If you are a fan of Islay Scotch this will give you an interesting alternative if you want to turn the smoke down a bit but still feel like you are having a relaxing day on the Scottish coast. If the big smoky whiskies are not your thing this Scotch remains restrained enough to give you the perfect opportunity to try something a little out of your comfort zone without fear of being overwhelmed.
