This is made from Pelaverga Piccolo, a red variety unique to the village of Verduno. It is planted at a 300 m elevation in several vineyards that amount to 2.6 ha. Fermented in tanks and aged in both tank and cement vessels for 6 months before bottling. The first vintage of this peppery, floral red wine was made in 1973. Pair with seared salmon with a pink peppercorn sauce.
