Christophe Baron has been crafting one of the most celebrated wines in the nation for over 20 years using Biodynamic methods in Walla Walla. Growing up in the vineyards and the cellars of his family's Champagne house, it was natural for him to become a winemaker. All of his eight vineyards are covered with round stones, which is reminiscent of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This Syrah from Armada vineyard shows incredible depth and character with blackberries, smoked meats, exotic spices, black tea, and minerals. With a rich weight, silky tannins, and outstanding length, this wine is definitely a treasure to have with flatiron steak or veal tongue.

Syrah

We'd like to clear this up once and for all: the Shiraz grape is genetically identical to Syrah. Australian winemakers put "Shiraz" on the map (and, many would argue, vice versa), and the term is now used throughout much of the New World.
