750 mL
Item # 11229

After many years of experimentation, Lingenfelder has finally released his mythic "Satyr". The base wine is Goldberg Riesling Kabinett (unchaptalized obviously). The final dosage was Spätlese juice. On the palate, the fruit is giving, mildly evolved making this a compelling sparkling wine to drink at the table.

Staff Pick Notes

Give sparkling Riesling a chance! One of many things that makes this wine special is that it's unchaptalized. Meaning no additional sugar was used to aid in the fermentation. Combined with the dosage being Spätlese juice, the true flavor of Riesling comes through beautifully unadulterated. Though still only brut, the gorgeous honey dripping stone fruit gives it a wonderful richness. Try this if you are looking for something a little different to go with roasted pork tenderloin, dried fruits and cheeses, or apricot-glazed chicken.

They are careful to retain the delightful honeyed, flinty flavors that the best sweet Rieslings have always displayed. Alsace, of...
