Staff Pick Notes

I was made aware of the wines of Marisa Cuomo by a customer in the shop who traveled to the Amalfi coast recently and visited this uniquely special winery, founded in 1980 by Marisa Cuomo and Andrea Ferraioli. Upon some quick research, I was astounded by photos of vineyards clinging to dramatic seaside cliffs and the winery, cellars, and caves carved into the rock - truly a sight to behold. Furore Bianco Fiorduva represents the the pinnacle of white wine production at Cantine Marisa Cuomo. Their approach combines old secrets handed down by local winemakers with cutting edge techniques in the cellar to produce beautiful wines that express this unique area of the Amalfi coast. Made from native varietals Fenile, Ginestra, and Ripoli, it has notes of ripe apricots and wild flowers, with a hint of salinity that is surely inspired by the sea.
