Marie Brizard Apry

I recently purchased a bottle of this from our store and was interested to find another spirit that on the surface resembles the marzipan-like flavor of amaretto, but with additional flavors of sweet and tangy apricots on the palate. Both fresh and dried apricots from Africa and Roussillon, France are used to make a liqueur that is then blended with Gautier Cognac and other eaux-de-vie. I'm sure you can find myriad applications for this liqueur, but I myself enjoy it in highball style. I use two ounces of the liqueur and fill the glass to the top with seltzer, adding a squeeze of lemon in for good measure.
