Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Yr. Jamaica Rum

Some of my favorite moments in the world of spirits is turning people to the world of honest and uncompromising rums. Appleton is one of the spearheads from Jamaica who embody a pure product under the amazing knowledge of master blender Joy Spence. Her sensory skills and passion for rum have led to creating amazing drams with her signature flair. Stocks of rums aged in ex-bourbon casks for at least 12 years are blended together to create the quintessential sipper in my opinion with notes of banana bread, brown sugar, dark molasses, orange marmalade, warm oak and spice, ginger and butterscotch that will convert any whiskey drinker to the rum category. Also, no sugar or additives added make this a clear cut winner in my eyes.
