Deanston 12 Yr. Scotch

Item # 29765 750 mL

This converted cotton mill produces quality malt whisky with a definitive honey characteristic that is very desirable for blenders. Aromas of fresh cut grass, malt sugars and, of course, honey. The flavor is malty, with a touch of vanilla and a rich, honeyed finish. Nothing from Deanston is colored or filtered.

Staff Pick Notes

Gourmets revere simple but immaculately executed foods. Think of a flaky Parisian croissant, some thin Pastrami on Rye, or a perfectly seasoned soup. This is what Deanston 12 year is for me. The aroma is delicate but inviting enough to make you tilt the glass. Offering well integrated aromas of wet barley, toasted cereals, honey, and warm homemade cream. The palate is rich with malt, brown sugar, burnt orange peels, honey, flaky chocolate, and subtle earthen smoke. This whisky doesn’t plumb the depths in search of strange or exotic flavors. But what draws me in is its elegant execution of flavors and texture.
